Canadian Border Services
The Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) has implemented temporary service changes that will remain in effect until further notice. The CBSA regularly reviews its operations and adjustments are made when necessary. Please consult the CBSA list of open ports of entry for more information.
The Goderich Regional Airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency on a call-out basis from the Region of Waterloo International Airport on weekdays and the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport on weekends. The Canada Border Service Agency Officer at this airport currently can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers.
The Goderich Regional Airport of Entry/15 (AOE/15) is defined as an airport used solely for clearing persons arriving by general aviation aircraft (private or company) where the flights are unscheduled and the number of non-paying travellers on each flight does not exceed 15 (including the crew). Operators of these flights must obtain CBSA approval by contacting the CBSA’s Telephone Reporting Center to enter or return to Canada, and they must land at an approved AOE during CBSA hours of business.
